Pull is a mobile application I co-founded with my partner Shaun Nilsson. Via a novel and proprietary use of BLE, it enables devices to recognize and remember the people you meet in real life without taking your phone out of your pocket — allowing you to have a "photographic memory" when you're out socially and professionally.
The applications for an app with features such as Pull are numerous especially when used in the context of IOT enabled locations. We envision being able to drive a lot of automated consumer experiences simply by walking into the room with Pull enabled on your device.
Pull is currently being piloted on two college campuses in Toronto, Canada.
UPDATE: We're currently attempting to get the Canadian and US governments to retro-fit Pull to be a real time tracker of COVID-19, providing users and epidemiologists the opportunity to see and contain the spread of the virus.

My responsibilities on this project covered UX/UI working with off shore teams to design the animations, navigation and look and feel of the app, as well as troubleshooting and bug identification.

Once the app was developed, my role shifted that of Full Stack Growth Hacker. As we roll out in specific locations we do targeted social media buys that focus on our core demographic with a teaser campaign to drive curiosity.

To help drive downloads in specific geographies, we deploy local sales teams to host "Pull Parties" at restaurants, bars and nightclubs. To enter for free, guests simply download the app and begin connecting with each other inside the location. Visitors also have the opportunity to connect with brick and mortar locations as well, allowing them to be treated like a regular as soon as they enter.

To drive awareness on college campuses, we provide chalk stencils to our brand ambassadors and have them leave Pull PowerUps outside venues we've partnered with to provide deals to those in the network.
